Watson & Associates is a multidisciplinary association of professional mediators, arbitrators, facilitators and trainers specializing in land development, urban planning, public policy and real estate issues.  We provide a responsive, neutral resource for conflict resolution for public and private organizations and individuals for public policy issues and land development activities. 

The firm's principal and associates have decades of experience in mediation, arbitration, facilitation and training.  Conflicts have been successfully resolved on such issues as individual local rezoning cases, state-wide public policy issues, city-state development agreements,  urban and regional planning issues, municipal ordinance creation/modification and contractor disputes.

Services

Some of the services we provide for governmental agencies, development companies, law firms, public interest groups and private individuals include:

• Functioning as a "one-stop-shop" for information about mediation, conflict resolution and/or facilitation on a broad range of special projects or policy issues;
• Consulting and/or providing conflict resolution services for land development projects;
• Helping resolve coordination/role conflicts between/among/within public agencies;
• Facilitating Development Code disputes among stakeholders (including agency staff) and negotiated rulemaking for ordinances or procedures that affect multiple parties.;
• Mediate disputed rezoning cases and neighborhood planning issues.
• Provide neutral forum for private development projects prior to filing for rezoning;
• Consulting on new programs/projects to help assess possible conflict areas, identify potential stakeholders and, if needed, assist in developing a conflict resolution process.
